Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions

The best option is to have a re-prescription/collection arrangement with your preferred pharmacy (chemist) – speak to them to set this up.

EMIS Patient Access Online is another way to request repeat medication.

Please login or register to the Patient Access Online service, below.

Repeat prescriptions are generally available within three working days, not including the day of request. You will be asked to see a Clinical Pharmacist or Doctor for a medications review from time to time.

EMIS Patient Access

In order to use EMIS Patient Access Online you will need a user account. If you have a user account please copy this link into your browser search bar

If you do not yet have an account but would like one, you will need to register above

For your password, you will need to attend the surgery in person with ID (Passport, photo driving licence as well as one other form of proof of address such as a council tax bill or utility bill that is less than three months old). The receptionists will then record your application request and a PIN will be emailed to you in order for you to complete the process.

Prescription Request Email Address

Mayfield Medical Centre also has an email address for patient prescription requests:

nehfccg.prescriptions@nhs.net

Please ensure you use this and not the old email address for requests.

If you are unable to apply online, the best option (for repeat prescriptions) is to set up a represcription/collection arrangement with your local pharmacy; alternatively, drop off a request in the prescription box outside the front door.

Prescription requests must always be made in writing. Telephone call requests will not be accepted, including repeat prescriptions.

Prescriptions are not available for over-the-counter medicines.
