Most of the feedback centres around the lack of available routine appointments.  In response to this the practice partners commissioned a project to look at when appointments are being asked for, not when they have been given.  In otherwords are we as a practice meeting our patients needs?

We know we are not able to give as much as patients expect all of the time but we can look at how we deliver the service and try and balance support where possible matched to the demand.  Having identified that most patients want either same day or more than a week ahead appointments, our next task is to see how we can look to match the need.  We will be looking at various models to see what could work better.  Against that we must recognise that resources are limited, indeed stretched and doctors alike will be wanting to see if any changes can be made to make the work/life balance better whilst meeting patients demands.

We hope to be in a position to see what change(s) we can make in the very near future.

In the meantime we encourage you to continue to provide your valuable constructive feedback.
