Free NHS Backed Online Parenting Courses for Parents, Families and Carers (25th February 2021)


Free online parenting courses to support children from 0 – 18 years  


Bringing up children is a lot of fun,  but can also have its challenges, particularly with the stresses of living life as a family during Covid. At times, receiving some advice would be helpful help with your child’s health and emotional wellbeing.

Are you a parent, grandparent or carer and live in the Frimley Health and Care area covering East Berkshire, Surrey Heath and North East Hampshire and Farnham? (This includes Ascot, Bracknell, Windsor and Maidenhead, Slough and North East Hampshire and Farnham).

If so, Frimley Maternity is offering you free access to NHS backed, online parenting courses and guides which include top tips from childcare, education and NHS health experts. Topics include:

· Understanding your pregnancy, labour, birth and your baby

· Understanding your baby

· Understanding your child 0 to 19 years

· Understanding your teenager’s brain

To get free access to the courses:

If you live in:

- East Berkshire or North East Hampshire and Farnham the access code is 'PARENTING’.

- Surrey the access code is 'ACORN'

(Access codes are not case sensitive)

Access to the courses and guides are unlimited with no expiry date, so you can return as and when you need and want to.

Each guide has between 5 to 11 sessions which last roughly 20 minutes each and activities that can be carried out between courses.

Havant and East Hampshire Mind

Havant and East Hants Mind are excited to share with you that we have launched a Freephone Crisis Line for young people aged 11-17 years old living in Hampshire & Isle of Wight (excluding Portsmouth & Southampton).  

The crisis line will provide immediate access to safe and confidential support for young people who are experiencing difficulty with their mental health. We will provide crisis de-escalation, healthy coping skills and signposting to useful website and app resources. 

The service launched on Monday 4th May 2020, and is available on: 

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 3pm – 8:30pm.  
  • Freephone: 0300 303 1590.
